  • WELCOME!

Hola peeps! Welcome to Casa de Lewis. We are twenty somethings who got married in 2010, bought a house in 2011, and are now trying to get it all together in 2012! We both started our careers as CPAs and now Reagan works for the Boys & Girls Club and I have my own photography business. I blog about crafts, photography, DIY projects, sweet treats, random life tidbits, and things I love! The design and migration from Blogger is still in the works, so thanks for being patient! And thanks for stopping by! Snoop around, why dontcha :)

Quick!

Run to TJMaxx! I found these Steve Madden teal flats with gold studs for $29.99!

Run in, get these, and then run back out as fast as you can so you don’t pick up 14 other things on the way!  :)

Small Baby + Small Business

My photography business was my first child. Ha, it’s true! It used to be my baby. Now I have a super cute REAL baby… and a business. It’s spring and photo session inquiries are flooding my inbox and wedding season is upon us! It’s been a challenge trying to figure out how to keep running my business smoothly and take care of the babe all day, but I’m starting to get into the swing of things. The main thing that has changed is that I am not at my client’s beck and call. And honestly, that is probably a good thing for both myself and my clients. I’ve set certain hours and clarified expectations. I also don’t have time to stew over things. And guess what? This is also something that has turned out to be a benefit to both myself and clients! I don’t sit and draft an email for 12 hours. I make a decision, type the email, hit send. I’ve also really hit a stride in my shooting and editing. This, of course, has come after years of practice, but it’s great to see the benefits of all the hard work I’ve put in over the years! I haven’t done a photography update on here in quite some time so I thought I’d share some of my favorite sessions that I’ve posted on photo blog lately!

I’m a little bit gaga over this beautiful maternity session I had the pleasure of capturing.

Is this not the cutest little face you’ve ever seen?! This mini session was one of my faves!

This one is very near and dear to my heart because this is my new niece!! This is my new little niece who is the strongest little munchkin surviving a week in the hospital with RSV. I can’t wait til I can snuggle her again!

This was an amazing senior session in the cute town of Gruene, TX!

Another cute little man! I just saw this cute family this past weekend for some updated family photos and I can’t believe how much he has grown!

And finally, another awesome senior session!

I’m shooting and editing like a mad woman so I’ll share more soon!  :)

Kaylinn Standlee - ALL of these photos are AH-MAZ-ING!! But that maternity shot is, like, blowing my mind!!! Holy moly it’s good!

Here’s the problem…

Who has time to blog when I have the cutest baby on the planet to play with?! She is just so squishy and cute and so much fun these days! She laughs and smiles and is moving like a crazy girl! Not to mention I have photo sessions out the wazoo these next few months so in my spare time I’m editing photos and answering emails. Mostly answering emails. Oh the joys of running your own business! Once the office update is complete I’m hoping that I’ll be a little more productive and start to do some crafting/sewing again! Right now the office update has involved me painting the closet. Sounds like fun, right? No, it was miserable. This old house has wonky closets and we added shelves so there were just a lot of nooks and crannies! Sadly at my photo session last night the guy said – Whatcha been painting lately? I thought – Excuse me? Apparently I had paint in my hair! And to think I actually squeezed in a shower before their session! Guess I need to scrub-a-dub a little harder…

Sada - Agreed Kristen! :)

Latest Obsession…

My sister turned me on to these dark chocolate covered pomegranates and last week I found myself CRAVING them! Like a crazy pregnant lady craving…but I’m not pregnant. She so lovingly bought me some from Costco and now I have to try to stop myself from eating 40 at a time…

So delish. You should grab a bag the next time you head to Costco and join me  :)

Bonnie P - I love these! I get mine at CVS :)

Rhonda - OMG – these look amazing! This just might be worth a trip to Costco for me (although I see from another reader that she found them at CVS… might be stalking these stores today!).
