When I first started planning the nursery I saw the quote “Second star to the right and straight on ’til morning…” and I knew that I wanted to use it somehow in the room. My sister and I grew up loving the musical version of Peter Pan.

I’d seen the chipboard letter technique all over Pinterest so I decided to give it a whirl. I picked up a canvas and chipboard letters from Hobby Lobby (thanks to mi amiga Camille for the help on that!).

I organized my chipboard letters and started to arrange them on the canvas.

I used a ruler to make sure all my lines were straight as I hot glued the letters down.

Then I just went outside and spray painted the heck out of it!

That’s one part of the art above the crib. Next I’ll share how I made the branch with hanging stars mobile!
