I love that this easy paint project created such a dramatic difference in the nursery! The original doors were brown and just didn’t mesh with the rest of the room. I was hesitant to paint them until I saw this project on Pinterest! Brilliant!
My mom helped! I was 8 months pregnant at this point so she stood up on the chair and got down on the floor…aka she took one for the team on this project. First we painted the doors white, making sure to really hit the spot where the white faux molding would show through. Then we used handy dandy frog tape to mark off the molding. This was the trickiest part – considering the sliding doors overlap, you have to be careful in how you measure out your lines if you want them to look evenly spaced when the doors are closed (and overlapped). Then I applied 2-3 coats of the wall color, Sherwin Williams Silverplate at 50%, until the doors were sufficiently covered. We ripped off the frog tape and voila!
