  • WELCOME!

Hola peeps! Welcome to Casa de Lewis. We are twenty somethings who got married in 2010, bought a house in 2011, and are now trying to get it all together in 2012! We both started our careers as CPAs and now Reagan works for the Boys & Girls Club and I have my own photography business. I blog about crafts, photography, DIY projects, sweet treats, random life tidbits, and things I love! The design and migration from Blogger is still in the works, so thanks for being patient! And thanks for stopping by! Snoop around, why dontcha :)

Dresser Makeover – Annie Sloan Chalk Paint!

I’m sold on Annie Sloan’s chalk paint! Loved it. It got really thick on me at one point but I just added water and problem solved.

After…ta-da!

I basically ended up doing three coats of paint and one coat of wax. As of right now I am not going to distress it, but that could change! I’m going to sit on it for a bit and see how I like it.

Here it is a little more dressed up…

The “R & S” from our wedding.

Glass bowl: a snag from Pier One thanks to my sis-in-law! White vase: Ikea. Silver bowl: the amazing Nambe from New Mexico.

And I love this platter from West Elm!

I will definitely be using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint again!

PLEASE NOTE: The picture at the top shows Paris Grey, however for this project I used Annie Sloan’s Old White.

Sarah Grant - I love this! By the way, what color and what type of paint did you use on your walls? Perfect combination!
